Top Mounted Dust Collector (Vibratory Type) for Cement & Fly Ash Silos R.A. Enterprises
The Top Mounted Dust Collector (Vibratory Type) by R.A. Enterprises is a high-efficiency venting filter engineered for industrial silos and bulk powder handling systems. Designed to deliver cleaner air, zero waste, and maximum material recovery, this system uses a robust vibratory self-cleaning mechanism to separate dust from the air stream, instantly dropping valuable materials back into your storage.
Vibratory Self-Cleaning System: Features a mechanical vibrating system to clean the internal filter elements automatically, eliminating the need for expensive or complex compressed air setups.
High-Efficiency Filtration: Specially engineered to filter ultra-fine particles smaller than 10 microns , ensuring strict environmental compliance.
Heavy-Duty Technical Capacity:
Air Flow: Handles high-volume venting up to 1500 m3\hr
Filtration Area: Generous 23m2 filter surface area for continuous operation.
Outlet Emission: Keeps dust emissions exceptionally low at < 50 mg/Nm3
Rugged & Weather-Proof: Equipped with a weather and bird-proof cover, making it ideal for harsh outdoor industrial environments.
Low Maintenance Design: Built to minimize down-time and operating costs through a durable, long-lasting structural design.
This top-mounted venting filter is essential for dust control and material conservation across concrete manufacturing, infrastructure, and raw material processing industries. It is ideally suited for:
Cement Silos
Fly Ash Silos
Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) Batching Plants
Bulk Powder Storage & Transfer Systems
Zero Waste & Maximum Recovery: Automatically recovers cement and fly ash, dropping it straight back into the silo to drastically reduce material loss.
Cost-Effective Operation: Operates efficiently with no compressed air required, lowering your facility's utility costs and mechanical maintenance overhead.
Eco-Friendly Compliance: Controls fine dust dispersion, helping your factory floor meet local environmental and emission safety standards.

A top-mounted 14-bag dust collector is a compact silo venting filter installed directly on the roof of a cement silo, fly ash silo, storage bin or powder hopper. It filters dust-laden air released during pneumatic silo filling and helps prevent cement dust from escaping into the atmosphere.
During silo filling, cement enters the silo and displaces air from inside. The dust-laden air passes through the filter bags, where the dust particles are retained. Clean air is released outside, while the collected cement dust is returned to the silo after the filter-cleaning cycle.
Its main purpose is to vent the silo safely, control dust emissions, reduce cement loss and maintain cleaner working conditions during tanker or bulker unloading.
A 14-bag dust collector contains fourteen filter elements or filter bags. The total filtration area and airflow capacity depend on the diameter, length, material and construction of the filter bags.
It may also be called a silo top dust collector, silo venting filter, cement silo filter, bin vent filter, silo breather filter, silo dedusting filter, cement dust filter or silo deaeration filter.
A vibratory dust collector uses a mechanical shaker or vibration motor to remove dust from the filter bags. A pulse-jet dust collector uses short pulses of compressed air to clean the filter elements.
No. A vibratory cleaning system normally uses an electric vibration motor or mechanical shaker and does not require compressed air for filter cleaning.
Yes. A pulse-jet cleaning system requires a clean, dry and regulated compressed-air supply. The required pressure and air consumption depend on the dust collector design.
A vibratory system is simple and suitable where compressed air is unavailable. A pulse-jet system is preferred when more frequent or online filter cleaning is required. The correct option depends on silo usage, filling frequency and available utilities.
Online cleaning means the filter bags can be cleaned while the dust collector is operating. Offline cleaning is normally performed after the silo filling or filtration process has stopped.
Pulse-jet systems are commonly designed for online cleaning, while vibratory systems are generally used for offline cleaning.
Yes. The top-mounted dust collector filters the dusty displaced air produced when bulk cement is pneumatically transferred from a tanker into the silo.
For normal pneumatically filled silo venting, the displaced air may pass naturally through the filter without a separate exhaust fan. A fan may be required for specially designed suction or dedusting applications.
Yes. A suitable top-mounted dust collector can be used for cement, fly ash, GGBS, lime, gypsum, microsilica and other dry powder materials.
Yes. Dust removed from the filter bags normally falls back into the silo, helping recover valuable cement or powder and reducing material waste.
The filter media should be selected according to the stored material, dust-particle size, temperature, moisture conditions and required filtration efficiency. Bag-type, cartridge-type or pleated filter elements may be used depending on the design.
A differential pressure indicator measures the pressure difference across the filter bags. A rising pressure difference can indicate that the filters are becoming blocked or require cleaning.
Silo pressure may increase because of blocked filter bags, insufficient filtration area, a failed cleaning system, excessive tanker pressure, overfilling or restricted airflow through the dust collector.
No. The dust collector provides normal silo venting and filtration. The pressure relief valve is a separate emergency safety device that protects the silo during abnormal positive or negative pressure.
No. A dust collector does not measure the cement level. A separate high-level indicator and silo filling-control system are required to reduce the risk of overfilling.
A weatherproof and bird-proof cover protects the filter bags, motor, solenoid valves and electrical components from rain, sunlight, dust and external contamination.
Cleaning frequency depends on filling frequency, dust load, filter pressure difference and material characteristics. The cleaning cycle should be adjusted according to actual operating conditions.
Filter bags should be replaced when they are torn, permanently blocked, damaged by moisture, losing filtration efficiency or allowing visible dust to escape.
Possible causes include damaged filter bags, loose sealing, incorrect installation, excessive airflow, blocked cleaning equipment, overfilling or unsuitable filter media.
Yes. A top-mounted dust collector can normally be installed on an existing silo after checking the roof strength, mounting flange, available maintenance space and silo safety arrangement.
Regular maintenance includes inspecting the filter bags, seals, vibration motor or pulse valves, compressed-air tank, solenoid valves, differential pressure indicator, weather cover and mounting flange.
The price depends on the cleaning system, filtration area, filter media, body material, motor or pulse-jet components, control panel, weather cover and required quantity.
Yes. RA Enterprises manufactures and supplies top-mounted dust collectors for cement silos, fly ash silos, storage bins, batching plants and other powder-handling applications.
Please provide the stored material, silo capacity, filling rate, filter-bag quantity, preferred cleaning type, available compressed air, mounting-flange size, electrical supply, quantity and delivery location.
